Rules

Here is where you'll find all of our rules and allowed mods for the CraftYourTown servers. Please make sure to read all of them thoroughly as you may accidentally break our rules and be punished for breaking them.

CHAT RULES
C1: Any form of chat disturbance/spam isn’t allowed. This includes, but isn’t limited to: frequently repeating messages and flooding chat, countdowns, excessive caps and excessive swearing, constantly begging people for items, spacing out letters, randomised messages (including &k) and different fonts.
C2: English only in general chat.
C3: No racism, sexism, homophobia, or any discriminatory comments that purposely target a group of people.
C4: NSFW (not safe for work) content is not allowed in chat. This includes, but is not limited to: sexual comments, drug-related content, and gore.
C5: No advertising other Minecraft servers or other Discord servers (unless CYT related), and no personal promotions (unless CYT related, e.g CYT streams).
C6: Do not leak someone’s personal information knowing they do not want it publicised. This includes, but is not limited to: phone number, address, IP address, and full name.
C7: Treat everybody with respect. This includes, but is not limited to: swearing directly at people, constantly making fun of people, harassing people, or purposefully trying to troll or wind someone up.
C8: No inappropriate usernames or nicknames. This includes, but is not limited to: NSFW content, historically bad people, political ideologies, or anything that breaks another rule.
C9: No discussing political or religious views, since discussions like these tend to get out of hand.
C10: Staff impersonation is not allowed under any circumstances.
C11: Wait 30 minutes between any form of advertisement in chat.
C12: Do not provoke or troll players with fake reset dates or plans.
C13: Discussing active or previous punishments towards you or other players is not allowed.

GENERAL RULES
G1: Unfair Advantages are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to: auto-clickers/taping your mouse down, X-ray, Killaura, or fly hacks. Please refer to the "Allowed Mods" list for more information, and if your mod isn't included, ask a staff member.
G2: Any kind of traps are not allowed, including teleport killing.
G3: You are responsible for your own account. Regardless of who does the action on your account, you are liable for the damages and consequences.
G4: Only one alt account per person. Any extra alt accounts are not allowed.
G5: Advertising within the Auction House (/ah) is not allowed.
G6: Abusing server or Minecraft glitches/bugs or using methods to bypass permissions is strictly forbidden.
G7: You are not allowed to create 0 tick farms, TNT dupers or flying machines, and clocks that are too fast will be automatically removed.
G8: Do not scam each other. This includes, but is not limited to: rigging/modifying agreed upon deals to benefit you and/or someone else, renaming an item to impersonate another or falsifying information about it, not giving the item to a player after purchase, or not paying for an item once received.
G9: No inappropriate skins or builds. This includes, but is not limited to: NSFW skins, historically bad people, political ideologies, or anything that breaks another rule, and builds of swastikas, hammer and sickles, or genitalia.
G10: If you have an issue with a ruling, please make an appeal and/or staff report if you feel you were unjustly punished. Manager and above will have the final say in all matters.
G11: Staff will do their best to return/replace items lost from game glitches, bugs and rollbacks. Any items lost through player error are unable to be refunded.
G12: Do not trade in-game money for anything outside of the server, with the only exception being the CYT store.
G13: Ban evading on an alternate account is not allowed.
G14: Mute evasion is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to: using signs or renaming items to communicate. You will be banned for the duration of your mute.

TOWNY RULES
T1: If a plot is not claimed, or has the incorrect plot permissions set (e.g destroy/switch permissions enabled for everyone), it can be looted without punishment, as long as it does not fall under T2 or T3.
T2: Anything done with the intent to ruin another player’s experience is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to: joining a town with intent to grief, getting someone to trust you in a plot with intent to grief them, or purposefully destroying the outskirts a town.
T3: Keep the Overworld and Earth presentable – eyesores are not allowed and will be removed, including (but not limited to) lava casts, cobble monsters, mass fires, large craters in the map and mass destruction of terrain (keep that to the resource worlds). This rule does not apply to resource worlds.
T4: If you’re in or within 50 blocks of a town, and a town member asks you to leave, or you are outlawed from the town, you must do so immediately.
T5: Setting homes or player warps in, or around a 200 block radius, of a town that is not yours is not allowed. Unless you can give direct permission that you are allowed to have the home, the home/warp will be removed.
T6: If a town’s mayor has been offline for 30 days, mayorship will be passed down through the chain: Co-mayor, Assistant, VIP, unranked player that has been in the town for a minimum of 2 weeks. We do not delete towns for any reason other than all members being permanently banned.
T7: Any ranked town member cannot use their permissions to steal from town members under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to: draining the town bank, purposely making the town fall, stealing from town members’ plots, and increasing tax greatly with no prior notice. Depending on the severity of the case, mayorship may be passed to another player in the town.
T8: Claiming the main end island is not allowed. Claiming the outer end islands or an end portal, however, is allowed.
T9: Instantly inviting someone with /t add  as soon as they join the server is not allowed – ask them over /msg or in general chat, and if they decline, respect their decision and don’t continue asking.
T10: Bypassing our AFK timer using some form of AFK machine is not allowed – you will be kicked and the machine will be destroyed.
